Frequently Asked Questions

Working with a stationer adds a personal touch to the planning process as well as to your wedding. Not only will we create a bespoke stationery suite that helps to share your story, but we’ll create a keepsake that will be yours to cherish. All designs are custom-crafted and include unlimited artwork and calligraphy and printing method of your choice. You also have the option to upgrade to full production, including luxury embellishments to finish your suite, assembly, postage and mailing.

Each suite is custom-quoted based on quantity, complexity, and materials, which can all vary greatly. The average wedding invitation suite includes an invitation and envelope, reply card and envelope, and reception card.

Our Semi-Custom clients typically spend between $3,000 to $8,000 on all stationery from Save the Dates, Invitations and Wedding Day Stationery. The average total investment is $6,000.

The majority of clients who choose custom stationery custom stationery make an average investment of $7,500 - $10,000. However, I can work with budgets outside these limits, depending on quantity and level of detail.

I accept a limited number of clients per year and therefore strongly recommended that you book early, even if we don’t start the design process right away. To get started, simply fill out the questionnaire - be sure to include your budget and any details you think you might like to incorporate into your suite. I will send you a custom proposal within three days.

I will never rush anyone into a decision, but I can only accept a limited number of clients per year and therefore strongly recommended that you book early, even if we don’t start the design process right away. I offer a one-time complimentary consultation to answer any questions and help you decide if you would like to work with me.

If you are booking invitation design, let me know if you would like to include coordinating day-of pieces (menus, programs, table numbers, escort cards, etc.) at the time of booking, or as soon as possible.

Outside of invitation clients, I reserve a limited number of bookings for day-of services, so advance booking by 4-6 months is recommended to ensure availability. A 50% non-refundable retainer is required at the time of booking; the balance of the project will be invoiced upon completion. I have a minimum order of $500 for all day-of services.

For semi-custom wedding invitations, you should plan to book at least 5-6 months prior to your date to ensure enough time for design and production (based on a mail date of 2 months prior to your wedding date, please add time if mailing sooner).

How many invitations should I order?

When determining how many invitations you will need to order, be sure to account for addresses rather than individuals. It is best to determine your needed quantity and then add 20% extra for last minute additions and keepsakes before placing your order. For example, if you have a guest count of 200, you might only order 125-150 invitations.

I suggest booking at least 2 months in advance to ensure availability, and require all final names/lists to be provided no less that 2 weeks prior to the event date. Rush Orders are sometimes available at an additional fee depending on your timeline.

I am happy to source papers/materials for my clients, and you are welcome to supply your own materials. However, please keep in mind that not all inks work on all surfaces, so I recommend that you consult me before ordering.

I accept a limited number of bookings for day-of calligraphy & signage, with orders minimums of $500. Pricing varies based on quantity, materials, level of detail and print method.
